HKRN Merit Score 2026: Points Table and Tentative Score Calculator

HKRN does not usually select people through a written exam. It ranks candidates on a points table set in the Deployment of Contractual Persons Policy, 2022. The table has been changed twice, on 26 October 2023 and on 13 May 2025. Below is the version from the 13 May 2025 notification, which is on hkrnl.itiharyana.gov.in.

hkrnportal.com is an independent guide. Your actual score is the one shown in your HKRN profile.

HKRN points table (from 13 May 2025)

Parameter Maximum points
Annual family income (as per PPP data) 40
Age (as per PPP data) 10
Skill qualification or higher qualification beyond the essential one 10
Common Eligibility Test (CET) 10
Ease of deployment 10
Total 80

Family income points

Annual family income from all sources Points
Up to Rs 1,00,000 40
Rs 1,00,001 to Rs 1,80,000 30
Rs 1,80,001 to Rs 3,00,000 20
Rs 3,00,001 to Rs 6,00,000 10

Income is taken from the family data under the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Act, 2021. The notification treats that data as conclusive proof, so the only way to change your income points is to update PPP.

Age points

  • 24 to 36 years: 10 points
  • 36 to 42 years: 5 points

Other points

  • Skill and higher qualification: skill certificates from NCVT, SCVT, SVSU or recognised ITIs count only for relevant job roles. Five points are given for an additional higher qualification in the same line. The minimum is 8th pass, except for sweeping-type job roles. The notification’s table gives this parameter 10 points, while the paragraph heading says 5, so check your profile score.
  • CET: 10 points for candidates who have cleared the Common Eligibility Test.
  • Ease of deployment: 10 points if you live in the same Block or Municipal Corporation as the job, 5 points for an adjoining one, as per PPP. Each Municipal Corporation counts as a separate block; a Municipal Committee or Council counts as part of its block.

Tie rules

The 2023 version of clause 8.8 broke ties by age in days (older first), then by the English alphabetical order of names, and allowed the HKRN Board of Directors to change the scoring parameters. The 13 May 2025 version of the clause does not repeat these notes, so check with HKRN whether they still apply.

Teacher scoring

HKRN publishes a separate selection and scoring sheet for PGT, TGT and PRT teachers, out of 150 marks: family income 40, age 15, HTET 20 (HTET marks multiplied by 20 and divided by 150, with HTET valid for 7 years), socio-economic criteria 5, education 10, same district 10, and 50 for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana (MMAPUY).

Tentative score calculator

The portal has a Tentative Score Calculator, linked on the Candidate Registration and Login page. Enter your Family ID to see an estimate. The page itself warns that it is a tentative score for information only, that ease of deployment and additional qualification scores are added as per the indent, and that it gives no claim to any job.

Registered candidates see their score table in their profile after final submission. The FAQ says income and age points change only when PPP is updated.
