What is included in HKRN pay

  • The official FAQ says the wage structure includes the basic wage plus EPF, ESI and LWF (Labour Welfare Fund).
  • ESI does not apply to employees whose monthly salary is above Rs 21,000.
  • Ex-servicemen covered by the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme are excluded from ESI under the policy.
  • If you were already deployed under Outsourcing Policy Part-I and drawing more than the Nigam rate, the policy protects your wage when you are ported to the same level.

Does past service count for the experience increase?

A Human Resources Department letter dated 15 December 2023 clarified that service rendered before the Nigam Wage Rates came in (19 January 2022) will not be counted for salary enhancement of persons engaged through HKRNL.
